I was wondering if the 2006 Gold Christmas Ornaments are available to be bought all at one time in lieu of receining bi-monthly shipments. I would prefer to get them at once and pay for the entire shipment at one time.

Thank you for such a detailed site. It is so hard to find information on these older ornaments. My mother's collection started in 1976 with the angel as a gift from my grandmother - I have inherited my mother collection and it continues, but I am missing some and would like to know if you know of anyone selling any that I am in need of. I am looking for the 1978 Choir Boys and 1977 Angels with Trumpets annual ornaments - I recently learned that the Angel was '76 - I had thought it was 78 for years since it was unmarked and now know these 2 were never purchased. I'm also in need of the 1990 rocking horse. And thanks to your site, I've learned that danbury sent a letter about the 1994 clipper ship which I was never aware of as I still have the tarnished one. Any info. you could provide would be wonderful. Happy New Year.

Dear Barb, I just want to thank you for posting this web site. I moved in April 2005 and realized in Dec. that all of my beautiful Christmas decorations had been Stolen. My heart has been broken; my mother-in-law has lovingly collected the Danbury Mint Ornaments for our daughter since 1990, when she was born. They are now gone and I don’t have the heart to tell her. I’m trying to recollect them before she discovers they are missing. My mother-in-law is 85 yrs.old. It has been hard to find the ornaments for the years they were collected, even Danbury Mint Representative told me that they don’t have that information – it’s Kind of hard to believe. Anyway, thank you again for sharing your web site. Happy New Year and God Bless you and all you love. Lisa in Texas

Hi, Just wanted to let you know, we really enjoyed your site. We don’t have such a collection, only one per year as our grandparents and then our parents started it for us, and then our children. It was great to see them all in one place! Vicki

A kind woman directed me to your site so I could confirm the completeness of the 1987 set I was selling on ebay. What a great service you've provided. After reviewing all the years, I'm sorry I stopped collecting them after only two years! After nearly 20 years, I've decided to change my Christmas "theme" from all gold to an Irish theme, so am regretfully selling my 1987 and 1988 sets. I also have Danbury Mint's "Stained Glass" collection. I'll need to research them now so I can also sell them. Nothing Irish in the set. Thanks to you for this awesome site.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! I called Danbury and they are sending me a new one. Since they were a gift I had to give them the address of the people who purchased them, just to make sure they ordered from them. If you hadn't been so kind as to give me the number I would be stuck with my tarnished Clipper Ship. Mary Lou

I am the proud owner of sadly to say a very tarnished Clipper Ship. Could you tell me how to contact someone who could help me with my problem? Until I read about a recall on your web site, I had no idea it was defective. I thought it was carelessness in how I stored it. I'm sure the time limit has expired on a replacement. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

MaryLou, I am sorry but you are correct - Danbury replaced the ornaments in 1995 after the 1994 annual issue was found to be faulty - they actually tarnished badly in less than a month. They sent a card out to all those who ordered the ornament - first notice went out in February of 1995 with a follow-up in May or June. They offered a replacement along with a postage paid label to return the faulty ornament. You can watch eBay to see if a 1994 Clipper Ship ends up in an auction. There hasn't been one for about 3 months but, you never know. You could also try calling The Danbury Mint Customer Service: The Danbury Mint 47 Richards Avenue Norwalk, CT 06857 1-800-243-4664 Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm ET As they do not maintain supplies of retired ornaments, it is unlikely they can help but, you never know until you ask. Good luck! Barb Ladner |
