When did Danbury release their Gold and Crystal Ornament collection? I can't remember and was wanting to date all my collections.

A couple of years ago I printed pictures from your web site of complete sets of Christmas ornaments. I printed in black and white,(which are fading) now I want to print in color, but cannot find them anymore. It makes it so much easier when taking them off the tree and keeping the sets in tact. Can anyone help? I need 1986,1987, 1993, 1994, & 1995

Not sure I understand your message...the website has not changed - only the most recent few years are not posted simply because we just don't have the time. Since you posted to the Guestbook, you obviously were on the site so simply use the images we have. You can print off our site for you own cataloging needs BUT we do not allow our pictures to be used for posting on eBay - for that purpose you have to take your own image of the ornament(s) you actually have in your possession for sale/auction. |

My parents have given my family the annual gold ornaments since 2000, except for 2006. Could you please tell me what the 2006 annual gold ornament was so that I may search for it? Thanks for this website! I've learned a lot!

I am sorry but I do not have access to my list document at this time but just call Danbury Customer Service - they can provide the name of the 2006 Annual. |

I've made some truly remarkable progress replacing the damaged pieces my Mother had & adding to the collection. I promised Mom I would search for replacements for her ornaments, but sadly, she didn't live to see them. I decorated her tree in her apartment in the memory care unit she was in with the undamaged ornaments last year & you should have seen her eyes light up when she saw them & remembered them. She passed away this past February after a fourth stroke. These ornaments bring back such happy memories of the years we put them on the tree together, picking just the right spot among the branches for each one.

My mother began collecting the Danbury ornments with the 1982 year & continued until 1990. We would always put them on the tree at my house, because I had a sunroom with BIG windows on 3 sides & people going by on the street could really see the tree. 2004 was the last year I had Christmas there, as I moved back home the next spring to take are of my mother, whose mental health had begun to decline. That year, before Christmas, I did a major clean-out of the house & discovered the gold ornaments in the laundry basket she had taken them home in over a year ago. They never made it into the boxes that were always neatly tucked away in the back of her closet. Moisture or chemicals had gotten into the bottom of the basket & corroded several of the ornaments - which just broke my heart. I found that I can salvage a few, but I'm replacing all the years that I can & buying the ones she didn't have on e-bay. I'm sur by next Christmas, I'll have most all of them & that tree will look BEAUTIFUL in the new bay window I'm having built next spring!!!

I wish you all the best! This is a truly beautiful story and it shows how much these ornaments mean to the Christmas memories of so many collectors. |

It's a long story, but I'm slowly replacing the collection my mother started with the 1982 year of ornaments.

I wish you success in your project. Hopefully, between visitors to our site and eBay (the best source I have found for filling in collections), it will not take you very long. |

Barbara, I would like to first thank you and Dave for this web site. I stumbled onto your site shortly after my addiction. This addiction started in 2004 while surfing eBay for Disney ornaments. Since then, I have purchased more than 16 different collections. I am hooked. I know I cheated by buying from eBay. But, by buying at a reduced price, I can further feed my habit. I feel I am giving them a loving home and saving these beautiful ornaments from someone who cannot appreciate them, as I will. I do not limit myself to the Gold Collections. While searching, I have found the Gold and Crystal Carousel, Gold Lighthouse, Silver Snowflakes, Winter Wonderland Gold and Silver, and Night Before Christmas Collections, all by Danbury Mint. The problem is there I can find no list, book, or web site other than yours to identify and document these collections! Danbury will try to answer specific questions; even they do not seem to have a detailed listing. Maybe, I should say their answers are vague, at best. I regularly visit your site to read the posts and look for updates. You would think, someone, if not Danbury Mint, would publish some guide. Even Ty Beanie Babies has a collectors Guide! Do you or anyone else know of some publication or site? If not, maybe someone with more resources than me should consider publishing a guide. Again, I do thank you for your dedication and hard work maintaining this site. I will continue feeding my addiction, until I run out of money or my husband plans an intervention. Thank you. Dana

I have no information on any other collection but the Gold Christmas Collection. Sorry, but hopefully someone that visits our site will be able to help you.
Enjoy your addiction. Forgetting the whole cost issue, it is better than drugs and the high from ENJOYING YOUR ornaments lasts oh so much longer!

My boyfriend passed away suddenly in January 2008. He traditionally gave my mother and I a Danbury gold collectible ornament every year. Unfortunately, he didn't have the opportunity to give them to us before he died. I would really love to have the 2007 ornament (one for my elderly mother, also)if there are any out there. Ihave ordered the 2008 edition, so that I can keep up the tradition. Thanks.

Check eBaY for the 2007 ornament = that is a good secondary market source. |

I recently bought at auction the 1976 Angel, the complete boxed set for 1977 including the paper from Danbury Mint, and the 1977 annual ornament. I was just going to list them on Ebay, but if someone is very interested contact me.
