I just wanted to let anyone know that's interested. I just recently (today) started listing these great ornaments by the set. if you're missing anything, you might want to check out my auctions on eBay. Thank you!

I have a 1981 set (12) danbury christmas ornaments. Each are 20k gold and in mint condition. How much are they worth? Is anyone interested in buying them?

I do not provide a "valuing" service as to how much the ornaments are worth. Valuing these ornaments is rather odd. The older, rarer ornaments do not demand the high prices - probably due to their simplicity - while the newer more intricate ones do often demand ridiculous prices. 1982 was a year where technology was beginning to have an impact on how intricate the designs were for these ornaments. That can move these into a more valuable category. Danbury does not carry a back inventory of their ornaments so the secondary market is the only way for collectors to find these ornaments. The only place I know that these are sold is on eBay and, when it comes to pricing, I can only go by my experience. I have paid anywhere from $3.00 each up to $50.00 each for individual ornaments to complete my set. The original purchase price started out at $17.00 back in 1976 and Danbury now issues these for $20.00 each - this price has held steady for over 20 years. When you look at the eBay auctions, you will see some sets go for $30 for all 12 ornaments while other sellers are asking $200-300 per set. I've even seen them listed for $600 for a set; they didn't sell but I have seen sets go for $150-175 each. It all depends on if there is someone out there looking right now. Generally, someone looking to buy or sell should be dealing at a price of between $10 and $20 per ornament or $100.00 and $150.00 per set. Again, the price will depend on whether there is someone out there looking for this particular year. It would be up to you if you want to sell them as individuals or as a set. I know this is probably not the answer you were looking for but it is the best I can offer. |

I have the very first gold angel ornament from 1976. I am wondering what it's worth and if anyone is interested in buying it.

We do not offer a pricing service - we suggest you check out eBay to see what these ornaments sell for. The market sets the price. As far as selling, we can tell you that the last person that posted on here to sell a '76 Angel sold it in less than 48 hours! Good Luck. |

Thank you for you wonderful site! I have only recently discovered the Danbury Mint ornaments, and I have not been able to obtain any info on their 2006 or 2007 collections. Could you please tell me the names of the ornaments in the collections for these years? Thanks!

Also, thank you for the beautiful site. My Mom and Dad started these for me(and my brother) in '77, when I was fresh out of college. They gave us one every year and we loved opening it on Christmas. When my dad passed away, my mom turned her set over to my cousin and gave the 3 of us the ornaments. She passed away in '01 and now I carry on the tradition of giving them. I think my husband loves them as much as I do!! Thanks for the memories and the chance to organize my collection.

Thank-you for this site. We are missing 3 ornaments--1979, 1987, and 2006. We will look on ebay, but would appreciate any connections you might have. We missed the first one due to my mistake and the other 2 because of family deaths near the holidays. Danbury does not have them after the holidays for any reason!! Wish us luck.

I assume you are referring to the Annuals. I regret that I have no other sources than using eBay. By posting here, maybe someone will be able to help you out. Good luck! |

I am interested in selling my 1998 Danbury Mint Disney Gold Christmas Ornament Collection. There are 14 ornaments. How much could I expect to get for these. I know they retailed for about $320.00 with shipping.
