i have danbury gold ornaments dating all the way back to 1976 my grandparents started buying from the beginning. due to hard times they are unfortunately available for sale. I find myself in need of selling a rather large collection of Danbury Mint Christmas ornaments spanning years 1977 to about 1992. This is a follow-up from the last email I sent. I called the Danbury mint today and was told the Large angel tree topper was sold in 2002 and sold for $99.00 and the star tree topper sold in 2003 for $106.00. Neither are currently sold and "The Mint" doesn't track the secondary market. They were very nice, cordial and helpful to me. Regarding Janet's query of 19 January about single ornament purchases. I had the same question posed to me by a friend. DM Customer Service tells me this is possible today for current year ornaments. I don't know whether it was true in the earlier time (she mentions ca. 1984). But even back then, secondary market purchases were still possibility. There are still many past year ornaments available. We get nothing for mentioning eBay and this is NOT an advertisement for them but that is how I completed my collection. I filled in the missing pieces by setting up watch lists and waiting patiently. eBay really was the easiest way to look for Danbury Mint Gold Christmas Ornament Collection ornaments from the entire series - 1976 to present.

I wonder if any of your readers have knowledge of a related Danbury Mint collection, "The Gold Christmas Carol Ornaments", of which 25 were issued in 1989-90. I have 15 and would very much like to find a complete listing of the 25.
